Help out Healing Paws Rescue

If you are a huge animal lover and supporter like we are, there are lots of things you can do to help further the cause.

1. BECOME A FOSTER HOME (Apply Here)

Because our program depends solely on foster homes to care for our rescued animals, the more Foster Homes we can make available, the more animals we can save!  Animals usually stay with their foster homes for 2-5 weeks and are up to date on all health care.  Click here to fill out our Foster Home Application to get more information!

2. ADOPT

Rescued animals are not animals that are unadoptable.  They are healthy, beautiful animals that just haven't found their perfect match (much like some marriages!).  Consider adopting an animal from us!  All adoptables are up to date on all health care and spayed or neutered.  Click here to see our list of adoptable animals!

3. DONATE

If you didn't go to Starbucks for a week, you probably wouldn't die.  But that $20 you saved could provide a life saving round f vaccines for a puppy or a Feline Leukemia test for a cat.  You can help save a life for the price of a week's worth of coffee!

4. VOLUNTEER (Apply Here)

It takes a lot of different types of people to help rescue animals.  Every person has a skill we can use.  If you've ever owned a pet, knew someone who owned a pet, or can even spell pet, you have what it takes and we'd love to have you on our side!!  Click here to fill out a Volunteer Application to get more information!

Please Read and Agree with the following Disclosure:

I attest that the information provided on this application is true and accurate to the best of my knowledge. I understand that completion and submission of this application does not guarantee that I will foster an animal from Healing Paws. I hereby permit Healing Paws to contact my Veterinarian(s) and Landlord, if applicable.
I understand that there is always an adjustment period for any foster animal coming into my home. The average time an animal spends in a foster home is two (2) to five (5) weeks and I am willing to work to make this foster animal a member of my family during his/her stay. I understand that many of these animals have survived tremendous odds and needs lots of TLC. I understand that Healing Paws cannot be held responsible for the actions, behaviors and/or medical condition of all of the dogs in its rescue. I agree to assume the risks implicit in working with animals who may have been abandoned, beaten, or otherwise mistreated or abused, or who may suffer from an illness, condition or disease. Although Healing Paws evaluates animals prior to accepting them into its rescue, they cannot guarantee the temperament of any of the animals since most of their histories are unknown.
I understand my foster must be kept on a leash AT ALL TIMES when in an unfenced or unenclosed area - even when hiking, or just walking from my house to the car. All rescues are prone to being escape artists, especially in a new environment or when left alone. They may bolt out of an open front door. I will be aware and be careful.
I understand that Healing Paws reserves the right to check on the welfare of this dog on my premises, and to reclaim both possession and ownership without payment of any kind. In the event that I do not comply with the foster guidelines and Healing Paws reclaims any foster dog from me, I waive claim to trespasser.
I understand that Healing Paws must approve all adoption applications, so I will not promise anyone that they can adopt my foster. Of course Healing Paws will be happy to receive adoption referrals and recommendations. If you are considering adopting your foster yourself, Healing Paws would discuss any serious applications with you before placing the animal in another home.
I also agree that if, at any time in the future, I cannot continue on in the foster program for ANY reason, I will not give away, sell or euthanize any animal. I will contact the rescue coordinator for arrangements to be made to move the animal(s) into other foster homes with Healing Paws. I understand that Healing Paws will be responsible for any medical expenses that may occur while the dog is in my foster care. If a veterinary visit is necessary, please contact your foster coordinator and keep a copy of all receipts for reimbursement. You will need to complete a foster expense report and submit it with the original detailed receipt for reimbursement.
I have read the application and program description on this form in its entirety and understand the risks involved in working with these animals. I also agree that if the information given on this application is not accurate to the best of my knowledge, I forfeit all rights to any and all foster animals residing in my care.

Yes, I agree with the disclosure stated above.
